Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Hygiene Manager to oversee and maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene within our facilities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing hygiene protocols, supervising cleaning staff, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Duties

  • Develop, implement, and monitor hygiene procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and legal requirements.
  • Supervise cleaning teams, providing training and guidance to uphold cleanliness standards.
  • Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify areas requiring attention or improvement.
  • Coordinate with maintenance teams to ensure cleaning equipment and tools are properly maintained and utilised effectively.
  • Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring timely replenishment.
  • Oversee the safe handling and disposal of waste materials in accordance with environmental regulations.
  • Maintain detailed records of hygiene audits, incidents, and corrective actions taken.
  • Collaborate with management to develop health and safety policies related to hygiene practices.

Skills

  • Proven experience in hygiene management or a similar supervisory role within a food manufacturing environment.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively lead teams and liaise with other departments.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations pertinent to hygiene standards.
  • Ability to train staff on proper hygiene procedures and the safe use of tools and equipment.
  • Attention to detail with a proactive approach to problem-solving. This position is integral to maintaining a safe, clean, and compliant working environment, supporting the organisation's commitment to health standards across all operational facets.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £32,000.00-£36,000.00 per year
