Position: Deputy Head of Compliance & MLRO

Salary  £100-120K DOE + Benefits 

Primary Location: London,
we would prefer this to be a fully office based role but will consider all reasonable requests

The Role

We're looking for a Deputy Head of Compliance & Money Laundering Reporting Officer to help keep our business safe - while we execute our vision to become the leading provider of technology solutions for asset owners and allocators.

You'll be a senior member of the Compliance team, helping lead our second line of defence, shaping our financial crime framework, and making sure we meet (and exceed) regulatory expectations as we scale. You'll support the Head of Compliance & MLRO, act as their deputy where needed, and work closely with the product, operations, and engineering teams across our global landscape. Think Robin to Batman or Steve Wozniak to Steve Jobs.

Key Responsibilities

Duties will include, but not be limited to:

  • Providing diligent advice and analysis on all matters relating to compliance and financial crime - as a Compliance function, we are seen as experts; if we don't know, we find out.
  • Assisting with the build, implementation and management of Ctrl Alt's AML program and partnering with the business to ensure compliance efforts are integrated.
  • Ensuring that all customer onboarding requirements are met and that efficiently  designed procedures are in place.
  • Supporting and owning parts of the Firm's FCA and Bank of England regulatory applications.
  • Policy Development &Training.
  • Management Reporting.
  • Monitoring & Assurance Testing.
  • Risk Management.
  • Horizon scanning - disseminating the latest regulatory developments in a digestible manner.
  • Regulatory reporting and engagement.
  • Being a force for good within the Firm's wider culture..

What are we looking for?

  • Experience working in a regulated financial services firm in a senior Compliance or Financial Crime role, MiFID2 knowledge is considered an advantage.
  • A strong understanding of the UK regulatory landscape.
  • Prior experience engaging with the FCA and/or the Bank of England.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  • The ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.
  • Able to demonstrate the ability to take ownership of key deliverables and projects.
  • Able to adapt to the demands of a fast paced innovative firm and being comfortable with dealing with new technical areas
