Komainu is a regulated digital asset custodian and service provider headquartered in Jersey, with offices in London, Dubai, and Singapore. Our services merge expertise from traditional financial services with leading security standards for institutional digital asset custody, servicing, and financing solutions. Komainu also offers an enterprise gateway for institutions to access the digital asset ecosystem.
We are seeking a highly motivated
Senior Operations Analyst
to join our London team to support the day-to-day operations of our growing digital asset custody business.
The role:
Ongoing monitoring and control
- Liaise with the Sales team to agree prioritisation and process all client onboarding requests in a timely manner, acting as a key point of contact and ensuring clients are kept apprised of progress.
- Process and monitoring of all client requests, including exception handling, to ensure exceptions are actively managed to resolution on a daily basis.
- Investigate issues raised by clients or other stakeholders, seeking guidance from, as required.
- Escalate issues and control breaches to Operations Management, Compliance, Risk and IT where appropriate.
- Ensure ongoing adequate product and process knowledge to facilitate effective support for all operational processes.
- Take active interest to changes in the digital asset landscape including new regulations and products.
- Provide support to the Operations Manager in coordinating day-to-day activities of the Admin Ops team, including helping to allocate tasks, monitor progress, and maintain quality standards.
- Support with documenting and maintaining all relevant policies and procedures, ensuring documentation is accurate, consistent, and up to date.
Projects
- Act as an integral part of the front to back process flow, help identify any control weaknesses and/or inefficiencies and recommend appropriate remediation steps.
- Propose new and enhanced systematic controls, process improvements and enhancements to the client experience and raise business requirements to IT.
- Take ownership of operational projects and process improvement initiatives, ensuring changes are properly tested and implemented in a timely manner.
- In the event of industry change or client requirement, help identify and engage to ensure that business process and any system changes are thoroughly tested and implemented in a timely manner.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
- A graduate in a statistical or analytical degree, ideally sciences, engineering, business, economics or similar and able to demonstrate expertise in statistical analysis, risk assessment and process/workflow design.
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in Operations environment, ideally with exposure to client onboarding, middle office, or operational process improvement. Industry experience in financial services in one or more of the following operations is required:
- banking;
- trust or fund services;
- transaction processing;
- custody support;
- clearing and settlements; or
- business analysis or middle office.
- A keen interest in the field of Digital Assets is essential.
- Demonstrable experience of leading and coaching colleagues, helping to coordinate team workloads and maintain impeccable quality.
- Commercially orientated with a good understanding of the broader economic and social context of the business and financial services.
- Ability to communicate concisely and persuasively, both in writing and orally.
- Strong documentation and organisational skills, with attention to detail..
- Able to demonstrate a disciplined approach in following established processes and controls.
- Advanced Microsoft skills, in particular Excel is desirable.
