Full-Time PCV Coach Driver (WITH COACH DRIVING EXPERIANCE)

Start Date: ASAP – December / January 2025

Paul S. Winson Coaches Ltd, an Earned Recognition and Guild of British Coach Operators accredited operator, has exciting opportunities for Full-Time PCV Coach Drivers (WITH COACH DRIVING EXPERIANCE) to join our professional team based in Loughborough.

Role Overview

We are seeking qualified and enthusiastic PCV Drivers (Category D licence required) to operate a wide variety of services, including:

  • Home-to-School Contracts
  • Private Charter & Corporate Hires
  • Sports Contracts
  • Rail Replacement Services
  • General Coach Work

Drivers will be allocated their own 33/53/57/70 Seater Coach or Double Decker (Dependent on experience) as their primary vehicle although other PCV vehicles may be driven as required. You maybe placed as a floating driver with a large variety of vehicles to drive. This role would have the potential of promotion for the right candidate to become a tour driver.

Pay & Hour

  • Monday–Friday: £14.13 per hour
  • Weekends & Bank Holidays: £15.00 per hour
  • Guaranteed minimum: 40 hours per week
  • Tours: Paid 9 hours minimum per day, plus additional hours worked
  • Annual Salary: £29,300 – £38,000 (dependent on hours worked)

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate and drive PCV vehicles in compliance with traffic regulations
  • Carry out daily vehicle walk-round safety checks
  • Provide excellent customer service at all times
  • Assist passengers with luggage when required
  • Maintain accurate records and reports as necessary
  • Undertake regular training and development (including Driver CPC)

Requirements

  • PCV Licence (Category D) – essential
  • Current Driver CPC qualification
  • Strong focus on passenger safety and comfort
  • Flexibility to work across weekends and tours
  • Good communication and customer service skills
