Data Migration Analyst

We have an exciting opportunity for a Data Migration Analyst to join ZIGUP on a 12-month fixed term contract.
Reporting to our Data Governance Manager, you'll play a key role in supporting the migration of critical business processes and data to a new platform. You'll work closely with data owners, engineers, and business stakeholders to ensure high-quality, well-governed data is delivered throughout this major transformation project.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Lead key areas of analysis to support data migration from multiple platforms, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
- Collaborate with data product owners, data engineers, and business analysts to define migration requirements, identify data quality issues, and implement solutions.
- Apply data governance principles to ensure data is properly managed, structured, and compliant throughout the migration process.
- Partner with the business to understand how data is used and organised, influencing how we manage, store, and report on data.
- Develop strong working relationships across IT and business teams, acting as the bridge between technical engineers and business stakeholders.
- Promote a culture of data excellence, helping the business understand analytics, reporting, and data quality best practice.
- Contribute to project delivery plans, timelines, and reporting in a fast-paced, project-driven environment (experience with project frameworks such as PRINCE2 is advantageous).

About You
You'll be a confident communicator who enjoys working cross-functionally and influencing decisions through data insight. You'll likely have experience as a Data Analyst, Migration Analyst, Data Governance Specialist, or Business Analyst working with large datasets or enterprise systems.
We're looking for someone who can bring:
- Proven experience in data migration, data analysis, or data governance within a large or complex organisation.
- Strong understanding of data quality, data management, and data governance frameworks.
- Experience working with large volumes of data and complex datasets.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word; knowledge of SQL and data visualisation tools such as Power BI or Tableau is desirable.
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts in a clear and engaging way.
- A collaborative, proactive, and sociable approach, you'll be part of a supportive and engaged data community.
- Experience working on cloud-based platforms or within project environments (advantageous but not essential).
