A leading global investment organisation is experiencing significant growth across its European business and expanding its capabilities within Active Fixed Income. With an increased focus on innovative product development and a growing front-office footprint, there is demand for talented risk professionals to support this next phase of development.

We are seeking a senior Fixed Income Investment Risk professional to join the Investment Management team. This group partners closely with investment leaders to promote risk-informed decision-making and provide robust governance on behalf of investors. In this role, you will act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, offering independent challenge, expert analysis, and hands-on support across active fixed income portfolios.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and enhance a scalable risk management framework to measure, monitor, and report global fixed income investment risk exposures.
  • Provide thought leadership to improve investment processes, delivering research and insights that add value to portfolio construction and risk management.
  • Advise on fixed income risk policies, limits, procedures, and governance standards.
  • Utilise advanced analytical tools to deepen risk-return analysis, including performance attribution, multifactor models, scenario analysis, and stress testing.
  • Apply judgement and expertise to assess and manage risk across existing strategies and new product developments.
  • Generate clear, actionable insights that influence investment decisions and support risk-adjusted performance.
  • Develop and refine processes, tools, and methodologies for model evaluation, validation, and ongoing risk capability enhancement.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of market dynamics, quantitative factors, and broader investment themes to inform risk perspectives.
  • Build knowledge of the organisation's fixed income investment processes and collaborate closely with internal partners.
  • Stay current on operational and market developments, ensuring risk analysis reflects evolving business needs.
  • Represent the investment risk function with internal and external stakeholders as required.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Extensive experience in investment risk within a global asset manager or similar financial institution.
  • Deep expertise in fixed income risk management frameworks, policies, and best practices.
  • Strong understanding of financial markets and quantitative drivers.
  • Proficiency with risk-return analytics, including performance attribution, multifactor risk models, scenario analysis, and stress testing.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop complex analytical processes, risk tools, and model validation techniques.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex analysis into clear recommendations for senior leaders.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to a fast-moving environment.
  • Professional designations such as CFA or FRM are highly advantageous.
