The Opportunity

We're excited to be recruiting for an Export Senior Account Manager to join our Sales team. This role will lead and develop IPN's export business across international markets, delivering profitable and sustainable growth across our award-winning portfolio of pet food brands.

This is a key commercial role, offering the opportunity to shape our international strategy, build partnerships with distributors and retailers worldwide, and represent our trusted brands on a global stage.

IPN is an innovative, well-established, and award-winning pet food manufacturer, with 100s of colleagues across 3 different site locations in the UK – Thirsk (North Yorkshire), Crick (Northamptonshire) and Kinmel (Wales).

Our family of brands includes Harringtons, Wagg, Barking Heads & Meowing Heads, AATU, Blink, Butcher's, Classic Cat, and a selection of partner brands that trust us to produce food on their behalf.

Role Purpose

To manage and develop IPN's business across assigned export markets — delivering profitable and sustainable sales growth through effective distributor management, strategic planning, and cross-functional collaboration.

Key Responsibilities


• Responsible for export sales of IPN brands outside the UK, including supporting certain multinational customers as and when these businesses develop.


• Build strategies and action plans for assigned export markets to drive revenue and profit growth.


• Develop close partnerships with distributors to achieve strong market penetration and sustainable growth.


• Identify and deliver new business opportunities through Joint Business Plans (JBPs) and Annual Business Plans (ABPs).


• Coordinate with key internal stakeholders (Marketing, Operations, Finance) to ensure a consistent business approach.


• Negotiate commercial terms, pricing, and promotional activities within agreed parameters.


• Regularly visit key countries/partners and participate in international trade fairs and exhibitions.


• Provide accurate forecasting, analysis, and reporting on sales performance.

About You


• Degree-educated, with significant (8+ years) commercial experience in FMCG or pet care industries.


• Proven success in managing distributor relationships and driving export growth.


• Strong communication, influencing, and negotiation skills.


• Strategic thinker with analytical acumen and operational understanding.


• Confident working cross-functionally and autonomously.


• Comfortable with regular international travel (approx. 50%).
