About The Role

EKC Broadstairs College is looking for a proactive, reliable Estates Assistant to join the team at our brand-new Margate High Street site. If you enjoy hands-on work and keeping facilities safe, welcoming and running smoothly, this role could be the perfect fit.

What you'll do:


• Unlock and lock buildings, ensuring the site is safe and secure

• Set and monitor intruder alarms before and after hours (including weekends)

• Act as a responsible key holder

• Support a wide range of caretaking and general Estates duties

• Take part in our on-call rota to help keep the campus running smoothly

Hours per week: 18.5

Salary: £12,405

What We're Looking For:


• A friendly, flexible approach to tasks and shift patterns

• Good organisational skills and the ability to keep things running smoothly

• Experience in testing, monitoring, and maintaining Legionellosis records

• Sound knowledge of emergency light testing and accurate record keeping

• A genuine interest in sharing your knowledge and supporting the next generation

• Enthusiasm and a positive attitude; experience is helpful, but passion really counts

• You'll need to live within 20 minutes of the campus
