As a Pastoral Support Officer, you will work with the Pastoral team to support vulnerable students in need of pastoral intervention. This work will also include liaising with external agencies as and when required to ensure that appropriate support is available to students and parents. In addition to this dealing with day-to-day student issues, providing emotional and practical support as appropriate for students and their parents where relevant and referring more serious incidents to Progress Leaders and Senior Leadership Team. The post includes providing general administrative support for the Progress leaders such as co-ordinating the tutor team weekly notices on PowerPoint for our year groups. In addition to this it could include collecting statements. The Pastoral team is a strength of the school who work highly effectively together in order to support all our students. We promote a positive Catholic ethos but there is no requirement to be Catholic to apply.
