An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Pharmacy Dispenser/Pharmacy Assistant to join our team at Lytham Road Pharmacy.

We are a busy independent pharmacy located within South Shore Primary Care Centre. Working as part of an established and experienced team you will be supported to excel in your role as we continue to expand and enhance our healthcare services to the local community.

Purpose:

· To be the first point of contact for all patients

· To serve customers appropriately and sensitively

· To provide health advice and refer where necessary

· To promoting healthy living

· To support the delivery of professional services in the pharmacy

Your duties will include but not limited to:

· To ensure the pharmacy environment is welcoming, clean and professional

· To greet customers in a professional and friendly manner

· To work towards or have completed an accredited Medicines Counter Assistant course

· To recommend suitable products and provide advice on their correct use

· To receive prescriptions from customers.

· To inform customers of approximate waiting times and to manage expectations

· To ensure the correct transfer of dispensed medicines to patients

· To refer medicine related problems or queries to the pharmacist

· To receive stock according to SOPs

· To ensure the safe and appropriate storage of medicines

· To maintain of stock levels within the retail environment

· To perform till procedures such as patient transactions and cashing up

What do we require from our candidate?

· Previous experience is desirable but not necessary as training can be provided for the right candidate.

· Experience of working in a busy community pharmacy/retail environment

· Excellent team player

· Good time management

· Desire to learn and enhance knowledge by participating in training provided

· Good communication and organizational skills

· Understanding of confidentiality

· Self motivation and initiative

Role:

· 40 hours over 5 days (Monday-Friday)

· 4 week annual leave (Pro rata)

· Company Pension

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £12.21-£12.60 per hour
