Service Manager
At Everyturn Mental Health, we believe that everyone deserves access to compassionate, person-centred mental health support when they need it most. We're excited to be launching a brand new residential service in Bethlem, developed in partnership with South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust.
This marks an important milestone as we expand Everyturn's services into London for the first time. Through this partnership, we'll deliver specialist, clinically-led community rehabilitation for people with complex mental health needs, supporting their recovery and wellbeing.
We're looking for an experienced and values-driven Service Manager to lead this new service from the ground up. This is an exciting opportunity to shape a service that will transform lives, ensuring high-quality, recovery-focused care for people with complex mental health needs.
What You'll Do
As our Service Manager, you'll provide both clinical and operational leadership, ensuring the service delivers safe, effective, and person-centred care. You'll take accountability for service performance, governance, staffing, and resources, while inspiring your team to uphold our values and strive for excellence every day.
Your Responsibilities Will Include
- Providing clinical leadership and operational management, ensuring clinical, operational, and quality standards are consistently achieved.
- Overseeing the delivery of person-centred, outcomes-focused care that meets the needs of service users and carers, maintaining accurate records and upholding our commitment to dignity and excellence.
- Leading, inspiring, and developing your team through effective supervision, appraisal, and professional development.
- Embedding a culture of learning, accountability, and wellbeing, where colleagues feel supported and valued.
- Managing staffing, budgets, and resources effectively to ensure continuity, quality, and financial sustainability.
- Acting as the CQC Registered Manager, ensuring compliance with all local and national regulations, including the Mental Health Act, Mental Capacity Act, and safeguarding standards.
- Monitoring and meeting contractual KPIs and quality targets, driving continuous improvement.
- Working closely with the Operations & Partnerships Director and Head of Nursing Services to provide assurance on quality and performance.
- Promoting evidence-based practice, integrating new developments and best practice into service delivery.
- Taking responsibility for implementing actions from audits and inspections to continuously enhance care standards.
What We're Looking For
You'll be a confident, compassionate leader with strong clinical and operational expertise. You'll be passionate about empowering both colleagues and service users to achieve their full potential.
You Will Have
- NMC registration as a Mental Health Nurse (or equivalent clinical qualification).
- Significant experience supporting people with complex mental health needs and challenging behaviours, including those transitioning from secure care.
- CQC Registered Manager status (or eligibility) with a strong understanding of governance and compliance standards.
- Proven experience leading multidisciplinary teams in residential, nursing, or community mental health settings.
- A track record in developing and implementing care pathways that deliver measurable, person-centred outcomes.
- Strong budget management, project delivery, and operational leadership experience.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence and inspire others.
- Experience handling complaints, understanding GDPR principles, and upholding confidentiality at all times.
- A passion for continuous professional development (for yourself and your team).
- Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office 365.
