The Cyber and Domains Protection Team provide high quality relevant and actionable vulnerability, incident, threat and dependency information for the protection and resilience of the UK's Public Sector's digital services. We protect public sector domain name spaces such as "", and ensure they remain stable, trusted, well managed and resistant to compromise. The team also helps protect the infrastructure tools and services associated with these domains.

Job description

As an Associate Delivery Manager you'll:

  • Build multi-disciplinary teams, helping them organise and plan their work, ensuring they deliver timely products and services that actually meet users' needs
  • Co-create and co-own plans and progress using recognised lean/agile practices, and communicate status to more senior people and users appropriately
  • Provide useful and accurate delivery metrics to facilitate continual improvement
  • Manage stakeholders to ensure strategic alignment and effective communication, taking into account organisational context and different needs and priorities, dealing constructively with conflicting views
  • Work in partnership with product and technical leads across Government on high profile work in ambiguous, complex and/or uncertain domains
  • Utilise your skills and expertise on other projects or other aspects of this project during your engagement should our organisation's priorities change
  • Facilitate an inclusive team environment where innovation and challenge are welcomed from all colleagues

Person specification

We're interested in people who have:

  • experience of successfully delivering services that are deployed across a large number of organisations or business units
  • experience successfully supporting several services or projects simultaneously through different phases of its life cycle
  • an understanding of cyber security risk and government cyber security best practices
  • experience managing projects using agile and lean practices according to the Service Manual
  • experience of communicating between technical and non-technical stakeholders whilst working in government, public sector or charity sector organisations
  • excellent planning and organisational skills

Please note this role requires SC Clearance

For meaningful checks to be carried out, you will need to have lived in the UK for a sufficient period of time, to enable appropriate checks to be carried out and produce a result which provides the required level of assurance. Whilst a lack of UK residency in itself is not necessarily a bar to a security clearance, and expectation of UK residency may range from 3 to 5 years. Failure to meet the residency requirements needed for the role may result in the withdrawal of provisional jobs offers.
