Overall Purpose of the Role

The Trainee Course Coordinator (Health) plays a key role in supporting the effective delivery, administration, and quality assurance of Health-related programmes offered at Fairfield School of Business in partnership with Ravensbourne University London, Birmingham Newman University, and Bath Spa University. The postholder will act as a central liaison point between FSB students, academic staff, and partner university representatives. They will ensure timely coordination of teaching, assessments, and quality processes, supporting a positive student experience and smooth academic operations. This role is part of the Academic Department, with a key focus on supporting the student academic life cycle.

Principle Duties:

· Act as a key point of contact for students on Health programs, providing support and guidance on program-related queries, timetables, and assessment submission procedures.

· Coordinate the day-to-day delivery of Health programs, ensuring timetables, module guides, and program materials are accurate, accessible, and meet partner university requirements.

· Support the coordination of assessment submissions, marking, and moderation processes, liaising with academic staff and partner university teams to ensure compliance with regulations.

· Maintain accurate and up-to-date student records, including attendance and assessment data, in line with GDPR and institutional policies.

· Liaise with partner university teams on quality assurance matters, preparing reports, minutes, and academic documentation as required.

· Support and contribute to the delivery of student induction, enrolment, and engagement events.

· Work collaboratively with internal departments, including Student Support and Welfare, to ensure students receive holistic support for their pastoral and learning needs.

· Support students with understanding and applying relevant academic policies and procedures, such as those relating to Extensions and Mitigating Circumstances.

· Engage in continuing professional development (CPD), working towards a Postgraduate Certificate in HE (PGCert) and/or Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA) where appropriate.

· Any other required duties from the department.

Person Specification

Essential:

· A qualification in Health, Social Care, Education, or a related field.

· Previous experience in an administrative or coordination role, with a strong focus on organization and accuracy.

· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work empathetically and confidentially.

· Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital platforms.

· Ability to maintain a calm attitude under pressure and manage multiple tasks.

· Ability to work as part of a team and to collaborate with others.

· Understanding of safeguarding, data confidentiality, and the ability to work within set processes, policies, and guidelines.

· Experience with student records systems (e.g., SMS, VLE).

· Knowledge of HE quality assurance processes.
