Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team in the HG4 2PZ area. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in assisting individuals with daily living activities, promoting their independence and enhancing their quality of life. This position requires a proactive approach, excellent communication skills, and a genuine desire to support others in their journey towards well-being.

Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care and support to individuals, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and meal preparation.
  • Help clients with mobility and physical activities, ensuring their safety at all times.
  • Support individuals in accessing community resources and participating in social activities.
  • Maintain accurate records of client progress and report any changes in behaviour or health to the appropriate personnel.
  • Foster a positive environment that encourages independence and self-esteem among clients.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to implement care plans tailored to individual needs.
  • Ensure the cleanliness and safety of the living environment for clients.

Experience

  • Previous experience in a support or care role is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
  • A caring and patient attitude, demonstrating empathy towards individuals with varying needs.
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to manage time effectively while multitasking.
