The Client –

The Candidate –

You'll be a Manufacturing engineer with a background in mechanical, electrical, or manufacturing disciplines. You're passionate about process improvement, lean manufacturing, and driving excellence in production. You enjoy working cross-functionally and are confident in leading initiatives from concept to full-scale manufacturing.

The Role –

You'll lead the design, development, and optimization of manufacturing processes for new and existing products. This includes defining SOPs, driving DfM/DfT reviews, supporting NPI, and collaborating with R&D, Quality, and Supply Chain teams.

Key Duties –

  • Develop scalable, repeatable manufacturing processes
  • Define SOPs, work instructions, and test procedures
  • Drive DfM and DfT reviews with product teams
  • Lead CAPA investigations and implement improvements
  • Oversee pilot builds and transition to full-scale production
  • Define tooling, fixtures, and jigs
  • Collaborate across departments and with external partners

Other Responsibilities –

  • Champion Lean and Six Sigma principles
  • Use data to drive decisions and evaluate improvements
  • Ensure compliance with QEHS and ISO standards
  • Provide technical guidance and mentor junior staff
  • Occasional UK/international travel (max 4 weeks/year)

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering
  • Experience with SolidWorks, AutoCAD, ERP/MRP systems
  • Proven track record in Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent documentation and communication abilities

Desirable:

  • Experience in NPI and cross-functional project leadership
  • Familiarity with quality systems and compliance standards
