Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organised and efficient Office Manager to oversee the daily operations of our office. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a keen attention to detail, ensuring that all administrative tasks are executed smoothly. This role involves supervising staff, managing office resources, and maintaining effective communication within the team. The Office Manager will play a crucial role in fostering a productive work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and support administrative staff, ensuring tasks are completed effectively and efficiently.
  • Maintain office supplies and equipment, coordinating repairs and purchases as necessary.
  • Implement and manage office procedures to enhance productivity and organisation.
  • Oversee human resources functions, including recruitment, onboarding, and employee relations.
  • Ensure proper phone etiquette is maintained by all staff when communicating with clients and stakeholders.
  • Communicate efficiently and effectively with our suppliers, ensuring that issues are dealt with quickly.
  • Utilise Xero for creating and maintaining customer invoices and budgeting purposes.
  • Prepare reports and presentations for management meetings as required.
  • Foster a positive team environment through effective team management and communication strategies.
  • Ensure that the office tidiness and cleanliness is kept at a high level.

Skills

  • Proven experience in an administrative or clerical role with strong organisational skills.
  • Excellent supervisory skills with the ability to lead a diverse team effectively.
  • Proficient in Xero and other relevant software applications.
  • Strong phone etiquette and interpersonal skills for effective communication with clients and colleagues.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of human resources practices is advantageous but not essential.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving with strong decision-making capabilities.
