Are you an experienced care professional ready to step into a leadership role? SafeSpace4U Ltd are seeking a Deputy Manager to oversee two solo placement residential homes in the Wirral and Chester, supporting children and young people with complex emotional and behavioural needs.

Our homes use the PACE model to create a safe, caring environment to help young people feel secure and build positive relationships.

About the Role:

As Deputy Manager, you will support the Registered Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations of two solo homes. You will lead and support staff teams, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and help deliver outstanding care and outcomes for the children in our care.

You will:

· Supervise and support care staff in both homes

· Lead by example, developing and guiding the staff team to provide exceptional care.

· Conduct regular staff supervision and team meetings, fostering a collaborative, supportive culture within the team and ensuring open communication.

· Attend meetings focused on young people's progress and well-being, advocating for their needs and ensuring their voices are heard in decision-making.

· Ensure high standards of practice and record-keeping

· Maintain full compliance with Ofsted regulations and standards, fostering a safe, high-quality environment where young people can thrive.

· Manage staff rotas to ensure consistent and adequate coverage, including stepping in for shift cover when required.

· Contribute to inspections, audits, and ongoing development

· Participate in the on-call rota and support homes during weekends when required

What We're Looking For:

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience working in a children's residential care setting (or similar) with a solid understanding of the unique challenges and rewards of this setting.
  • Hold a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
  • Demonstrated experience in residential children's care, with a solid understanding of the unique challenges and rewards of this setting.
  • A commitment to trauma-informed, child-centred practice
  • Knowledge of Ofsted standards and best practices in residential care for young people.
  • Strong leadership skills, with proven experience in supervising and developing staff.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
  • A confident and reliable decision-maker with the ability to step in effectively during the Home Manager's absence.
  • Full UK driving license and access to own vehicle
