Immigration Solicitor - UK Immigration and Asylum Law Specialist

Location: East London

Office Based

Salary: £40,000

As an Immigration Solicitor, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality legal services to clients seeking assistance with various immigration matters.

You will manage a diverse caseload, ranging from personal and business immigration to asylum claims, ensuring that each client receives personalised attention and effective representation. Your expertise and dedication will contribute to the firm's commitment to providing a client-focused approach and achieving successful outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Handle a comprehensive caseload encompassing all aspects of immigration law, including personal, business, and asylum cases
  • Prepare and submit well-crafted applications, appeals, and judicial review claims to the Home Office and Immigration Tribunals
  • Provide expert advice to clients on visa applications, settlement, citizenship, EEA matters, human rights, and asylum claims
  • Represent clients effectively in hearings before the First-tier and Upper Tribunal, advocating for their rights and interests
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, ensuring compliance with SRA and OISC regulations
  • Actively engage in business development initiatives and foster strong client relationships to support the firm's growth

Requirements

  • Qualified Solicitor with substantial experience in UK Immigration and Asylum Law
  • Excellent advocacy and drafting skills to effectively represent clients in legal proceedings
  • Strong communication and client care abilities to build trust and rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds
  • Proven ability to manage deadlines, prioritise tasks, and work efficiently under pressure while maintaining a high standard of work
  • Commitment to staying updated with the latest developments in immigration law and regulations
