We are now seeking a
Lead Engineer
to join our team in
Nottingham
, supporting the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of critical environments and general building services.

The Role
As a Lead Engineer, you will take ownership of the day‑to‑day delivery of engineering services, ensuring all planned and reactive maintenance is completed to the highest standards.

You Will

  • Allocate and oversee work for the engineering team, ensuring effective use of time and resources
  • Manage budgets related to maintenance activities and specialist contractors
  • Protect uptime for business‑critical systems including data rooms, networks, and manufacturing assets
  • Lead on change control processes and support critical environment audits
  • Produce technical reports and participate in emergency call-out/standby duties
  • Monitor environmental conditions and utilities usage to maintain optimal building performance
  • Ensure all statutory and critical maintenance tasks are completed
  • Maintain accurate engineering records and documentation
  • Champion H&S compliance in line with CBRE procedures, permits, and standards
  • Partner with Facilities Management and EHS teams to support continuous improvement

*About You*
We're looking for an experienced engineer with a strong background in electrical systems and critical environments.

Essential

  • Recognised electrical qualifications (Apprenticeship, HND, City & Guilds)
  • 18th Edition Electrical Wiring Regulations
  • Strong supplier/contractor management skills
  • Experience monitoring utilities and environmental conditions
  • Strong communication skills and confidence in decision-making
  • PC literate with strong MS Office capability

Desirable

  • Experience working within data centres or critical environments
  • Knowledge of L8 water hygiene
  • BMS, HVAC, UPS or standby power exposure
  • IOSH or equivalent H&S training
