For 30 years we've been independently developing and publishing incredible video games at our multiple studios founded by Jason & Chris Kingsley, but Rebellion is more than just games. We have our own film studio, we create board games, publish books, and through 2000AD, publish comics and graphic novels such as the amazing Judge Dredd.

Rebellion is seeking a creative and highly organised Events Manager to plan, coordinate, and deliver a wide variety of events for Rebellion, encompassing video games, comics, board games, consumer products and more

As part of Rebellion's marketing department, you will play a pivotal role at the forefront of global product launches, fan conventions, press events and community meetups. As the Events Manager you will be instrumental in creating unforgettable experiences for players, fans, partners, and media, all while enhancing our brand presence on a global scale.

We believe in the power of face-to-face collaboration and encourage working from our Oxford headquarters. However, we understand that flexibility matters, so we're open to discussing hybrid options based on individual needs. We can provide a relocation package, including moving assistance, temporary accommodation, and full support to ensure a smooth transition to your new environment.

Responsibilities

  • Event Planning & Delivery

  • Develop and execute events strategy aligned with company and product goals, from announcement to launch and beyond.

  • Lead the event planning of launches, showcases, fan festivals, press briefings, and community events.
  • Manage logistics such as venue selection, staging, agency coordination, equipment, travel, and staffing according to internal team objectives.

  • Brand & Community Engagement

  • Create engaging experiences that celebrate our games and connect with the community.

  • Collaborate with marketing, PR, and community teams to promote events across various channels.
  • Facilitate fan interactions, meet-and-greets, and community activities.

  • Partnerships & Sponsorships

  • Build strong relationships with external partners including publishers, platform holders, media, and sponsors.

  • On-Site & Virtual Event Management
  • Act as the lead during events, ensuring seamless operations and issue resolution in real time.
  • Integrate digital elements (livestreams, broadcasts, virtual meet-ups) to extend audience reach.

  • Budgeting & Reporting

  • Manage event budgets, track spending, and ensure cost-effective delivery.

  • Produce post-event analysis, measuring success against KPIs (attendance, engagement, viewership, ROI).
Requirements
  • Demonstrated excellence in project management and multitasking, particularly in steering complex logistics.
  • A track record of success in event management, especially within the entertainment sector or a related field.
  • A solid understanding of video game and comic book culture, including fan communities and current industry trends.
  • Outstanding abilities in communication, negotiation, and managing stakeholder relationships.
  • Experience with digital production processes.
  • Proficient in budget management practices.
