Lunchtime Cover Practitioner (10am–2pm)

Location: Les Enfants Nursery & Forest School, Mytholmroyd

Hours: 10:00am – 2:00pm, Monday to Friday

Job Type: Part-time / Permanent

About the Role:

We are looking for a caring and reliable Lunchtime Cover Practitioner to join our friendly team. This role is ideal for someone who loves working with children and is looking for shorter, family-friendly hours within a warm, supportive setting.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Helping to set up, serve and supervise healthy, balanced lunches
  • Encouraging children to develop independence and good table manners
  • Supporting calm, positive transitions between lunch and afternoon play
  • Assisting with tidy-up and preparation for the next part of the day
  • Maintaining high standards of hygiene, safety and care

About You:

  • Kind, approachable and dependable
  • Enjoys working with young children aged 0–5 years
  • A great communicator who works well in a team
  • Able to follow routines and support nursery procedures
  • A Level 2 or 3 Early Years qualification is desirable but not essential – a positive attitude and caring nature are just as valuable

Training and Support:

Full training will be provided for Food Hygiene and Allergen Awareness, along with ongoing support to develop your Early Years knowledge and confidence.
