Summary

Kelbrook Primary School is a happy, thriving and popular school in a village location, close to the towns of Barnoldswick and Colne. We are looking for an organised and dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our happy and friendly team. We have a strong sense of community and aim to ensure that our children feel safe, happy and achieve their potential. This is a varied and interesting role, where no two days are the same. The TA2 aspect of the role is as a Learning Support Assistant across classes as required. The TA3 aspect is to provide whole class cover with another TA when the Class Teachers are on PPA. This PPA cover will involve the teaching of ICT, following our planned curriculum.

This post is an exciting role required from January 2026. The breakdown of the post is as follows:

Role

  • Learning Support Assistant in Class - Pay Rate TA2b - 4 hours 30 minutes
  • Lunchtime welfare support - 3 hours - TA2b
  • PPA cover - 5 hours 30 minutes - TA3

Please note the post is term time only (38 weeks) and the salary quoted is full time equivalent. If successful, the salary received will be paid on a pro-rata basis.

You will be expected to show initiative and adopt a flexible approach to your work. The successful candidate will be expected to deal efficiently with small groups, individuals and the whole class. We are looking for someone who is dedicated and hardworking, and would enjoy the challenges and rewards of working in a school.

Previous experience of working in a school is essential.

Hours of work: Tuesday to Thursday 8:45am – 1:00pm.
