Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Kitchen Manager to join our coffee shop / lounge team

over seen our culinary operations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food production and team management, ensuring that our kitchen runs smoothly and efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and quality. This role requires a passionate individual with excellent leadership skills who can inspire and guide the kitchen team to deliver exceptional dining experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily kitchen operations, ensuring all food preparation and cooking meets quality standards.
  • Manage and train kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient working environment.
  • Oversee food production processes, ensuring adherence to recipes and presentation standards.
  • Maintain strict food safety protocols, ensuring compliance with health regulations.
  • Collaborate with the front-of-house team to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Monitor inventory levels, placing orders for supplies as necessary to maintain stock levels.
  • Develop menus in collaboration with the culinary team, incorporating seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
  • Conduct regular staff meetings to communicate goals, updates, and training opportunities.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a supervisory role within a kitchen environment.
  • Strong background in food production, preparation, and cooking techniques.
  • Demonstrated team management skills with the ability to lead and motivate staff effectively.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hospitality.
  • Previous experience in a restaurant setting is highly desirable.
  • Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in all aspects of kitchen operations.
