Paddock Maintenance Person – Tractor Driving, maintenance and grassland Care | Full-Time

Location: Snarehill Stud, Thetford (and other sites as required)

Hours: 37.5 hours per week (Mon–Fri) + alternative weekends on call

Are you experienced in tractor driving, grass care and agricultural maintenance? We're looking for a proactive Paddock Maintenance Person to help us maintain our paddocks, gallops, and grasslands to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities

Operate tractors and agricultural machinery for grassland and paddock upkeep (reseeding, spraying, fertilising, harrowing, rolling, etc.)

Maintain gallops and grade tracks between lots

Apply herbicides safely to remove harmful plants

Carry out fencing repairs and assist with garden maintenance

Perform machinery maintenance and minor repairs

Source and order materials, fertiliser, and equipment

Assist with mucking out empty boxes and yard clearance when needed

Ensure compliance with Health & Safety procedures and report incidents promptly

What We're Looking For

Essential:

  • Tractor driving competence, grass land knowledge and experience of agricultural equipment and fencing maintenance

Desirable:

  • PA1, PA2, PA4, PA6 pesticide spraying certification
  • Chainsaw operation experience

Plus:

  • Multi-skilled, adaptable and able to work independently or as part of a small team
  • Understanding of horse yard environment and working safely around horses
