Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and reliable to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in commercial driving, with experience in delivery driving and mechanical knowledge. This role requires effective communication skills and the ability to operate flatbed vehicles, ensuring safe and timely deliveries. Candidates with warehouse experience will be highly regarded.

Responsibilities

  • Operate flatbed vehicles for the safe transportation of goods to various locations.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
  • Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of items during transport.
  • Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation as required.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and clients regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies while on the road and at delivery sites.
  • Assist with warehouse duties as needed, including inventory management and organisation.

Requirements

  • Valid commercial driving licence with a clean driving record.
  • Proven experience as a delivery driver, preferably with flatbed vehicles.
  • Mechanical knowledge to perform basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Strong communication skills to interact positively with clients and team members.
  • Previous warehouse experience is an advantage but not mandatory.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £120.00 per day
