Job Overview

The Grove Hotel in Bournemouth is seeking an experienced and bilingual Hotel Receptionist to join its professional team. Applicants must have prior experience working in a hotel reception environment and demonstrate strong communication and customer service skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing guest arrivals and departures, handling reservations, and maintaining a welcoming and efficient front-of-house service that reflects the high standards of the hotel.

Responsibilities

  • Greet guests upon arrival and provide a warm welcome to enhance their experience.
  • Manage front desk operations, including check-ins and check-outs, while ensuring accuracy in guest accounts.
  • Handle guest inquiries and resolve issues promptly to maintain high levels of guest satisfaction.
  • Operate multi-line phone systems efficiently, responding to calls and messages with professionalism and courtesy.
  • Assist with night audit procedures as needed, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded.
  • Maintain knowledge of hotel services, local attractions, and amenities to provide informed recommendations to guests.
  • Collaborate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure rooms are ready for incoming guests.
  • Uphold standards of guest relations by fostering a friendly and accommodating environment.
  • As part of this role, you will also be required to serve drinks at the hotel's bar while maintaining high standards of service and professionalism.

Experience

  • Previous experience in hotel management.
  • Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction.
  • Bilingual or multilingual abilities are highly desirable to cater to our diverse clientele.
  • Familiarity with front desk operations, including night audit procedures, is advantageous.
  • Excellent phone etiquette and proficiency in handling multi-line phone systems.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From £12.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
