Manchester M AA, United Kingdom RS Group Full time £25,000 - £40,000 per year

Location: This role is offered on a permanent basis. The role is based at our Manchester office, St Peters Square.

We're on the lookout for an Office Manager to join us in a brand-new role at our RS Manchester office

If you love creating a workplace where people actually want to come in — where everything runs smoothly, the coffee is always flowing, and visitors leave smiling — this could be your next big adventure.

What you will be doing:

You'll be the heartbeat of our Manchester office — the go-to person who keeps everything (and everyone) running happily and efficiently.

Here's a flavour of what your week might include:

  • Keeping the Manchester office buzzing — from day-to-day operations to exciting office initiatives.
  • Being our trained First Aider and Fire Warden.
  • Planning and hosting office events and socials — from team lunches and charity fundraisers to festive celebrations and Wednesday fun
  • Working closely with the Site Lead to bring engagement events and Employee Resource Group activities to life.
  • Being the friendly face that greets every guest, colleague, and supplier who walks through our doors.
  • Liaising with 2 St. Peter's Square building management — making sure everything runs like clockwork.
  • Owning all things Health, Safety, and Wellbeing for the site — and being the key contact for our Group team.
  • Managing suppliers (cleaners, fruit deliveries, stationery, and all the essentials that keep us smiling).
  • Providing admin support for senior leaders and visitors — from meeting room magic to recommending the best local lunch spots.
  • Making sure our tea, coffee, and snacks never run out.
  • Jumping in on any other projects that make our office a great place to work.

About you:

  • Passionate about people, places, and creating an office everyone loves coming to.
  • Experienced in office or facilities management.
  • Proactive, with a knack for spotting what needs doing before anyone else does.
  • A natural event organiser who loves bringing people together and building community.
  • A clear communicator — friendly, approachable, and confident.
  • Comfortable with tech — especially Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint) — and happy learning new systems.

The extras you'll get:

At RS, as well as the usual employee benefits, you'd expect from a FTSE listed company, including annual performance bonus, enhanced maternity and paternity leave and private healthcare. In the UK&I, we've introduced new Individual and Family Friendly Policies including:

  • Help for people to take control of ongoing Health conditions such as diabetes or asthma with £500 a year available for monitoring & consultation
  • Support for Neurodiverse colleagues and families with neurodiverse members with needs assessment, diagnosis and post diagnostic support for autism spectrum, ADHD and Tourette's syndrome
  • Support for Women at different life stages from streamlined fertility support through to diagnosis and monitoring of both endometriosis and menopause
  • We are proud to offer inclusive benefits and programs that reflect the diverse identities and experiences of our employees. Our healthcare coverage includes enhanced support for all individuals, including the diverse needs of trans and non-binary colleagues—such as voice coaching, gender affirmation surgery (including facial surgery), and other medically necessary services. We also provide access to resources and programs tailored to the unique needs of all employees, regardless of gender identity or expression
  • Additions to Fertility coverage including IVF for lesbian couples and information/support around surrogacy and adoption for all

We are RS Group:

RS is a global solutions partner for industrial customers and suppliers. Our business has operations in three geographical regions – the Americas, EMEA and APAC, supported by global organisations for supply chain, corporate functions, marketing, and product & supplier management.

Our market today is large, fragmented, local in nature and digitally immature. Only a few international distributors serve it, with many regional and local providers, who largely trade offline. We stock over 2,500 supplier brands, 500k products and 61% of our sales are digital.

We are committed to Making Amazing Happen for a better world and our Vision is to become first choice for customer, suppliers, our people, and communities.

RS is committed to creating an inclusive environment where people thrive. We recognise that a diverse and representative workforce is critical to our success, and our aim is to create a business where people can be their true selves. Our employees expect this as a matter of course and it is fundamental to how we attract, develop, and retain the best talent.

In line with our D&I policy, we recruit and develop employees who are the best suited to the requirements of the job role, regardless of gender, ethnic origin, age, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity or disability.
