Cyber Project Manager
  • Lead strategic and tactical cyber initiatives to ensure secure and resilient business operations.
  • To ensure the protection of NFUM customer data and to safeguard the organisation from significant material risks.
  • Hybrid role with 80% homeworking and 20% in Stratford-upon-Avon
About the role

As a Cyber Project Manager at NFU Mutual, you'll play a pivotal role in strengthening our organisation's security posture, resilience, and compliance. You'll lead the successful planning, execution, and integration of a portfolio of cyber security initiatives, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and governance.

Working at the heart of NFU Mutual's Cyber Team, you'll coordinate efforts across multiple internal and external stakeholders, including vendors, delivery partners, and business teams, to achieve impactful outcomes that protect our customers, data, and systems. With a strong grasp of cybersecurity principles, threats, and mitigation strategies, you'll ensure our projects effectively manage risk and safeguard the organisation against material threats.

You'll be responsible for end-to-end project delivery from initiation through to completion, including developing detailed delivery plans, managing resources, forecasting and controlling budgets, and proactively identifying and mitigating risks and interdependencies. You'll apply best practices in project and cyber risk management to ensure every initiative aligns with NFU Mutual's Change Framework and broader Cyber Delivery financial and strategic objectives.

In this role, you'll also establish and maintain robust project management frameworks for each initiative, ensuring financial tracking, change control, resource planning, supplier management, and reporting are all managed with transparency and precision. Your leadership will ensure that all projects adhere to NFU Mutual's governance, audit, and quality standards, and that all dependencies internal or external are clearly identified, tracked, and managed.

About you

You're an organised and proactive Project Manager who thrives in collaborative environments and takes pride in delivering complex cyber initiatives that make a real impact. Resilient under pressure, you stay focused and adaptable, ensuring projects remain on track and aligned with business goals.

With strong self-awareness and communication skills, you build trusted relationships across technical and non-technical teams, managing stakeholders with confidence and clarity. Your structured approach, combined with a proactive mindset, enables you to anticipate challenges, find solutions, and drive successful delivery across NFU Mutual's cyber security programme.

You'll also be or have:
  • Successful track record in delivering complex, full-lifecycle technology and cyber security projects.
  • Skilled at operating in fast-paced environments and adapting to changing priorities.
  • Experienced in using tools such as Microsoft Project, Azure DevOps, and Power BI for data-driven delivery. (Desirable)
  • Strong understanding of project governance, cyber programme frameworks, risk management, and compliance.
  • Solid knowledge of cyber security domains, threat landscapes, and mitigation strategies.
  • Clear understanding of the strategic value of information and cyber security in enterprise settings.
  • Familiar with key cyber tools including Qualys, Microsoft Defender, Purview, RSA IGL, CyberArk, and Quest.
