Job Overview

We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Front of House Staff to join our vibrant team. As a key member of our hospitality environment, you will be responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere for our guests while ensuring exceptional service throughout their experience. This role is ideal for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced setting and possess a passion for the restaurant and catering industry.

Please note: this vacancy is for covering maternity leave, but the successful candidate MAY be kept on, once the maternity leave expires, should enough hours be available.

Duties

  • Greet and seat guests promptly upon arrival, ensuring a warm welcome.
  • Take food and drink orders accurately and efficiently, via an EPOS till system, communicating with the kitchen staff, as necessary.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the front of house area, including tables, chairs, and service stations.
  • Provide attentive service to guests throughout their dining experience, responding promptly to requests or concerns.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods.
  • Make drinks, as per our guidelines, such as: various coffees, misc other hot drinks, milkshakes, smoothies, frappes & bubble teas.
  • Answering the telephone, dealing with enquiries, including taking food delivery orders.

Experience

  • Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred but not essential; we value enthusiasm and a willingness to learn.
  • Familiarity with food preparation techniques and food safety regulations is advantageous.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well under pressure are essential for this role.
  • A positive attitude and team-oriented mindset will contribute significantly to your success in this position.
  • Experience in food delivery portals, such as Just Eat, Deliveroo or Uber Eats, would be particularly desirable.

Pay: £12.21 per hour
