The Role

We are seeking an experienced Residential Property Paralegal to join our busy conveyancing team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience managing residential property transactions from instruction through to post-completion.

You will be responsible for handling your own caseload under minimal supervision and ensuring that all transactions progress smoothly, efficiently, and in line with regulatory and firm standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing residential conveyancing files from start to finish, including:
  • Sales, purchases, remortgages, transfers of equity, and leasehold transactions
  • Drafting and reviewing contracts, reports on title, and other legal documentation
  • Conducting property searches and checking results
  • Liaising with clients, solicitors, estate agents, mortgage lenders, and other stakeholders
  • Preparing completion statements and handling exchange and completion processes
  • Ensuring compliance with SDLT, Land Registry, and anti-money laundering requirements
  • Maintaining accurate records and ensuring files are kept up to date on the case management system
  • Providing excellent client service through clear communication and proactive case management

About You

  • Minimum 1–2 years' experience in residential conveyancing (essential)
  • Proven ability to manage a caseload independently from instruction to completion
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Excellent communication and client care skills
  • Confident in using case management systems and Microsoft Office
  • A proactive and positive team player
