We are working closely alongside with a local authority in Rhondda Cynon Taf to assist with the appointment of a Swap Out Controller on a 2-months contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.
Rate of Pay: £12.84- £16.80 per hour
Summary:
The Swap Out Controller is a customer-focused role within the Assistive Technology Department, responsible for the successful execution of the equipment swap-out programme. The primary objective is to physically visit service user homes to replace outdated analogue home care devices with new digital setups. This position requires hands-on technical installation, efficient organization, and clear communication to ensure service users are comfortable and confident in using their newly upgraded equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Travel independently to service user homes across the Borough to perform the scheduled equipment swap-out.
- Act as a frontline representative of RCTCBC, maintaining a flexible approach and excellent communication skills throughout the process.
- Provide basic, user-friendly training to ensure the customer understands how to operate the updated system and is aware of key features and contact points.
- Maintain accurate records of all installations, swap-outs, and customer demonstration sign-offs.
- Strictly adhere to all council policies and procedures, including data protection and safeguarding vulnerable service users.
- Use basic IT skills to update departmental systems promptly regarding job status, completion, and any follow-up actions required.
Essentials:
- Team workers with a flexible approach and good communication skills
- Ability to follow instructions
- Ability to demonstrate to the customer (training will be provided)
- A full UK driving license

- You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
- You should have right to work in U.K
- This role requires a Basic DBS
