Accounts Assistant

I am recruiting on behalf of an SME business in the Pontyclun area who is seeking an Accounts Assistant to join its small finance team, and to carry out a variety of tasks which will assist in the some running of the function.
This is an ideal opportunity to join a stable but growing business which turns over in the region of £15 million per year. Reporting into the FD, the main duties of the role will include day to day finance duties including Credit Control, Payroll preparationwith accounts package Xero usage and general HR and admin duties in a very busy office.
**Main Responsibilities to include -**
- Sales ledger Maintenance and dealing with customer invoicing queries
- Credit Control duties to include responsibility for weekly statements and liaison with customer accounts payable
- Assist Management Accountant with month end preparation/journal posting
- Maintain supplier unit costing and sales prices in various in-house systems
- Handling cash, counting sales receipts and associated system reconciliations
- Assist in preparation of information for monthly payroll
- Support and cover the purchase ledger function at times to include invoices input and bank payment processing and reconciliations
- HR Administration duties to include the issue of Offer Letters, Contracts of Employment, Staff handbooks etc
- Onboarding process to include the setting up of new starters
- General ad hoc Office Administration duties
Experience of working in a similar role previously is a must for this position as is the requirement for excellent computer skills, particularly Excel.
**Benefits of the role include -**
- 37.5 hours per week Mon - Fri 9am to 5.30pm

- WFH will be reviewed after 3 - 6 months within the role
- 20 days hols plus Bank hols with 1 day extra added after 1 full years’ service up to 5 additional days
