Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Nurse to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care while assisting the dental team in delivering high-quality treatments. This position requires excellent organisational skills, effective communication abilities, and a strong understanding of dental procedures.
We are particularly interested in a General Dental Nurse with an interest in dental implants, as you will have the opportunity to support and develop your skills in implant dentistry within our practice.
We are currently looking for two part time nurses with the following schedule:
Role 1 - Thursday and Friday (Implant interest)
Role 2 - Monday and Friday (General Dentist)
Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow and optimal patient comfort.
- Prepare and sterilise instruments and equipment in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate patient records, including treatment plans and medical histories.
- Provide support to patients by answering their questions and addressing any concerns regarding their treatment.
- Ensure the dental surgery is clean, organised, and well-stocked with necessary supplies.
- Collaborate with the dental team to improve patient care processes and enhance overall service delivery.
- Stay updated on the latest dental practices and technologies to provide informed support to the team.
- Support implant-related procedures and demonstrate enthusiasm to develop skills and knowledge in implant dentistry.
Requirements
- Qualified Dental Nurse with relevant certifications or experience in a similar role.
- An interest or experience in implant dentistry is highly desirable.
- Strong patient care skills with a focus on empathy and understanding.
- Proficient in English, both written and verbal, to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
- Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently within a busy environment.
- IT skills for maintaining electronic patient records and utilising practice management software.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated when required.
