Job Summary:
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Construction Labourer to assist our site team with day-to-day operations. The role involves general site duties such as moving materials, maintaining cleanliness, assisting tradespeople, and helping to ensure that work runs smoothly and safely.
Our projects are based within a mile radius of York, so it is essential that you have transport to get to work.
Main Responsibilities:
- Assist with site preparation, loading and unloading materials, and moving equipment.
- Maintain site cleanliness and organisation, ensuring walkways and work areas are clear.
- Support tradesmen and machine operators as required.
- Perform basic tasks such as mixing concrete, digging, and lifting.
- Help set up tools, barriers, and temporary works.
- Follow health and safety procedures at all times and wear the correct PPE.
- Report any hazards, incidents, or issues to the Site Supervisor.
- Carry out other general labouring tasks as needed on site.
Skills and Experience:
Essential:
- Previous experience working on a construction site
- Understanding of basic health and safety requirements on site.
- Ability to work hard in a physically demanding outdoor environment.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Punctual, reliable, and willing to learn.
- Full UK driving licence and access to transport.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £12.50-£17.50 per hour
