Job Introduction
The West of England Mayoral Combined Authority (MCA) is seeking to appoint a Senior Funding Officer, to join the Grant Management and Assurance team. Your key responsibilities in this role would be to ensure a focus on delivering the priorities of the Metro Mayor by:
- Providing advice on grant management within the authority to ensure programmes are operated in an effective and consistent manner, drawing on good practice and established Combined Authority processes.
- Developing and providing data associated with grant funded programmes, including the monitoring of spend and outputs.
- Providing advice and guidance to funding applicants from local authorities and other organisations to ensure high quality and compliant business cases or applications and robust change management.
- Supporting the delivery of the City Region Sustainable Settlement programme and ensuring processes are compliant with the Combined Authority's Local Growth Assurance Framework.

The salary for this role is £47,181 - £51,356. This is the full-time equivalent salary, and will be pro-rata for part-time. We advertise salary ranges for job roles, with new appointments for external candidates typically starting at the lowest salary point. In exceptional cases, where higher skill levels or experience are applicable, the salary point may be adjusted to secure the best candidate. This approach allows for potential year-on-year salary increases, offering progression and appropriate rewards to employees.
