Ready for a role where no two days are the same?

One day you could be fixing a loose loo seat, the next you might be supporting a site through a complete power outage. This is a hands-on position that spans multiple disciplines across our stores, so adaptability and problem-solving are key.

We're looking for someone who thrives on variety and enjoys rolling up their sleeves to get the job done. You'll tackle two types of work:

  • Reactive Maintenance – responding to urgent repair requests and prioritising jobs based on impact.
  • Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) – scheduled tasks to keep our sites running smoothly and avoid future issues.
  • If you have practical skills in electrical work, carpentry, plumbing, and more, this is your chance to make a real difference every day.
  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Support City Technicians with major and minor maintenance tasks.
  • Complete all PPM and reactive maintenance within agreed timescales, ensuring accurate documentation.
  • Respond promptly to Helpdesk service calls, assess requirements, and carry out repairs effectively.
  • Prioritise and complete minor maintenance and repairs quickly and efficiently.
  • Maintain tools and equipment in good working order at all times.

Qualifications / Experience:

Essential

  • City & Guilds / NVQ Level 1 in Electrical, Carpentry, Plumbing, or Roofing
  • Previous experience in building maintenance within a commercial or retail environment

Desirable

  • Ability to maintain and repair a wide range of equipment
  • Strong focus on quality, speed, and efficiency of work

The Ideal Candidate

  • Full UK driving licence
  • Experience using an iPad-based maintenance system (Mercury)
  • Previous PPM and reactive maintenance experience in a retail setting
