An exciting opportunity has arisen with a highly respected and long-established insurance brokerage in Harrogate. Known for delivering tailored insurance solutions and exceptional client service, this firm is seeking a confident, client-focused Commercial Broker to join their growing team. You'll play a central role in maintaining and developing strong client relationships, advising on a broad range of commercial risks, and supporting new business acquisition across a diverse portfolio. This is the ideal next step for an ambitious broker who thrives in a professional but friendly environment and is keen to add real value.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a varied portfolio of commercial clients across sectors including property, retail, construction, manufacturing, and more.
  • Provide expert advice on a range of commercial insurance products including Property, Liability, Motor Fleet, PI, and D&O.
  • Handle renewals, mid-term adjustments, new business quotations, and placement with insurers.
  • Liaise with underwriters to negotiate competitive terms and cover.
  • Support Account Executives with pre-renewal preparation and new business development.
  • Ensure compliance with FCA and internal policies at all times.
  • Identify opportunities for up-selling, cross-selling, and adding value to clients.
What Were Looking For
  • Proven experience in commercial broking (minimum 23 years).
  • Solid knowledge of the commercial insurance market and products.
  • Strong client communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a high standard of accuracy in documentation.
  • Comfortable negotiating with insurers and confident in decision-making.
  • Cert CII or working towards is highly desirable.
