CI Projects are seeking an experienced
Lean Six Sigma (LSS) Process Specialist
with a proven background in the
Highways and Highways Maintenance sector
to support the client's operational improvement portfolio—delivering insight, efficiency, and alignment across complex programmes of work.

This role is a fixed‑term opportunity for a hands‑on LSS professional who can confidently lead process reviews, analyse data, and identify opportunities for automation and digitisation while influencing senior stakeholders. You'll work closely with the client's Highways, Maintenance, and Finance functions to drive consistency, clarity, and efficiency across critical processes.

As an LSS Process Specialist, you'll play a key role in embedding Lean Six Sigma methodologies—helping to identify areas for improvement, support benefits realisation, and ensure data‑led recommendations at executive and senior leadership level.


Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out detailed Lean Six Sigma process reviews to identify inefficiencies and improvement opportunities
  • Recommend and implement automation and digitisation solutions to enhance process consistency, clarity, and efficiency
  • Collaborate across highways and maintenance programmes to improve alignment and operational effectiveness
  • Provide evidence‑based recommendations and process maps to support change initiatives
  • Ensure timely reporting on improvement outcomes and benefits realisation
  • Work cross‑functionally with Highways, Maintenance, Finance, and senior business sponsors
  • Act as a key integrator across the client's operational change initiatives


Skills & Experience Required

  • Experience within the Highways and Highways Maintenance sector is essential
  • Proven Lean Six Sigma expertise in process improvement within complex or regulated organisations
  • Strong analytical mindset – able to challenge data and surface actionable insight
  • Experienced in process mapping, analysis, and evidence‑based recommendations
  • Confident engaging and influencing senior stakeholders and executive leadership
  • Strong understanding of automation, digitisation, and efficiency frameworks
