Job Overview:

We are seeking someone who is experienced in the beauty industry to become a mentor and join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a background in beauty, with a passion for mentoring others. This role offers an exciting opportunity to guide and support young people with special educational needs in exploring beauty and possibly hair styling as a career. The Mentor will be responsible for creating a positive nurturing environment, delivering sessions to small groups of young people and having fun while doing it. This paid position is perfect for someone who is looking for the next step in their career, and would like to explore developing their own skill set to become a mentor and make a real difference to others.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide guidance and support to individuals in a mentoring capacity
  • Help mentees set and achieve personal and professional goals
  • Share knowledge, skills, and experiences to assist mentees in their development
  • Offer advice and feedback on various aspects of life and work
  • Serve as a positive role model and advocate for mentees

Skills:

  • Skilled, experienced and ideally qualified in the beauty industry.

  • Experience in hair styling advantageous.

  • Strong Organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to actively listen and provide constructive feedback
  • Patience, empathy, and the ability to build trust with mentees
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the unique needs of each mentee

  • Computer literate with basic Microsoft Office skills e.g. Word, Excel and Outlook.

NOTE:
