About the Role

We are seeking an experienced
Offshore Geotechnical Engineer
to join our team, contributing to complex offshore projects involving pile and foundation design, installation activities, and soil-structure interaction analysis. This position offers the opportunity to work within a multidisciplinary environment, tackling technical challenges while supporting Saipem's mission of delivering innovative and sustainable engineering solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform offshore geotechnical analyses, including
    pile and foundation design
    for various offshore structures.
  • Interpret
    CPT data
    and other geotechnical investigation results to inform design and installation methodologies.
  • Conduct
    soil-structure interaction (SSI)
    analyses using advanced numerical modeling techniques.
  • Provide technical support during
    pile installation and foundation activities
    in offshore environments.
  • Collaborate closely with structural, marine, and construction teams to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Prepare and review technical documentation, calculations, and reports to maintain compliance with industry standards.

Candidate Requirements

Experience & Education

  • Experience:
    5–10 years of professional experience in offshore geotechnical engineering, with proven expertise in
    pile and foundation design
    and
    installation activities
    .
  • Education:
    Degree in
    Geotechnical Engineering
    ,
    Civil/Structural Engineering
    , or a closely related discipline.

Technical & IT Skills

  • Strong technical understanding of:
  • Shallow foundations
    and
    pile installation methodologies
  • CPT interpretation
    and
    geotechnical data analysis
  • Soil-structure interaction (SSI)
    and
    finite element modeling
  • Hands-on experience with
    Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
    software such as
    PLAXIS
    or
    ABAQUS
    .
