Offshore Geotechnical EngineerLocation: United Kingdom (Applicants must have full, permanent right-to-work status) Contract Type: Contractor, Full-Time IR35 Status: Outside IR35 Start Date: As soon as the successful candidate is identifiedAbout the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Offshore Geotechnical Engineer to join our team, contributing to complex offshore projects involving pile and foundation design, installation activities, and soil-structure interaction analysis. This position offers the opportunity to work within a multidisciplinary environment, tackling technical challenges while supporting Saipem’s mission of delivering innovative and sustainable engineering solutions.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform offshore geotechnical analyses, including pile and foundation design for various offshore structures.Interpret CPT data and other geotechnical investigation results to inform design and installation methodologies.Conduct soil-structure interaction (SSI) analyses using advanced numerical modeling techniques.Provide technical support during pile installation and foundation activities in offshore environments.Collaborate closely with structural, marine, and construction teams to ensure seamless project execution.Prepare and review technical documentation, calculations, and reports to maintain compliance with industry standards.Candidate RequirementsExperience & EducationExperience: 5–10 years of professional experience in offshore geotechnical engineering, with proven expertise in pile and foundation design and installation activities.Education: Degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil/Structural Engineering, or a closely related discipline.Technical & IT SkillsStrong technical understanding of:Shallow foundations and pile installation methodologiesCPT interpretation and geotechnical data analysisSoil-structure interaction (SSI) and finite element modelingHands-on experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) software such as PLAXIS or ABAQUS.What We OfferContractor Role: Full-time engagement, outside IR35.Professional Growth: Benefit from our soft skills model, promoting continuous learning, effective communication, and cross-functional collaboration.Career Development: Opportunities to enhance your expertise, take on complex engineering challenges, and contribute to innovative offshore projects.Important InformationPlease note that only candidates currently residing in the UK with full, permanent right-to-work status will be considered.
