Overview
The IT Quality and Testing Professional is responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and
performance of software systems and applications through structured testing and quality
assurance processes. This role involves planning, designing, executing, and reporting on tests,
as well as collaborating with development and project teams to identify and resolve issues
throughout the software development lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for applications and
systems.
Conduct functional, regression, integration, performance, and user acceptance testing.
Identify, document, and track software defects using standardized tools and methodologies.
Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and project managers to ensure defects are
properly understood, prioritized, and resolved.
Participate in requirement and design reviews to ensure testability and adherence to quality
standards.
Perform root-cause analysis on recurring quality issues and recommend process improvements.
Support test automation initiatives and contribute to continuous integration and deployment
(CI/CD) pipelines.
Prepare test reports, dashboards, and quality metrics to communicate progress and quality
status.
Ensure compliance with organizational quality assurance policies, security standards, and
industry best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Proven experience in software testing and quality assurance.
Proficiency in testing tools (e.g., JIRA, Selenium, Postman, TestRail, etc.).
Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile, and DevOps methodologies.Knowledge of automation frameworks and scripting languages is an advantage.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £39,000.00-£42,000.00 per year
