Job Description
Maintenance Team Leader

You perform highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain the property's facilities and equipment to ensure a safe and functional environment for our guests.

What You Will Be Doing
Operations

  • To Deputies in absence of Head of Department
  • Effectively handle and resolve any emergencies or/and guest problems or complaints that may arise and keep Management informed.
  • Supervise working shift's processes and ensure on a daily basis that all team members adhere to standards and procedures.
  • As a Team Leader you will be a role model, sharing your expertise and continually inspiring and motivating the maintenance team.
  • Build strong relationships and liaise with all other departments.
  • Carries out repair work as required, following specifications and to handle any unexpected problems as a priority.
  • Implements the corrective action plans as communicated by the Maintenance Manager.
  • Follows the preventive maintenance program to anticipate and avoid problems from occurring in the hotel's technical installations.
  • Applies water hygiene procedures.
  • Supporting Health & Safety manager with daily / Weekly / Monthly task.
  • Conducts fire refresher-training programs periodically and to ensure that the hotel and department's fire procedure is understood by all team.
  • Conduct regular department stock check and order accordingly.
  • Liaise and organize external contractor as and when needed with advice of Departmental Head General/ Administration
  • Ensures you read the hotels employee handbook, have an understanding of, and adhere to the hotels rules and regulations and in particular, the policies and procedures relating to Maintenance and H&S.
  • Responds to any changes in the department as dedicated by the needs of the company or hotel.
  • Any suspicious activity or anything unusual to be reported immediately to the Security/Duty Manager.
  • Be flexible, extend and carry out job duties including redeployment to alternative areas if required.
  • Be flexible with the rota; be available to cover shifts over the weekend or during the night in emergency.
  • Reporting and actioning immediately anything which considered being a health and safety hazard.
  • Display sound and logical decision making.

  • Actively contribute to the qualitative and quantitative targets of the department.

Relevant building maintenance experience is an asset

Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities

Highly responsible & reliable

Additional Information

Experience is an asset

Prior experience working with Opera or a related system

Fluency in English

additional languages are a plus
