Pentagon Talent have partnered with a top 20 London Law firm, operating on a global capacity. A truly unique opportunity, which only exists at this one law firm, which has potential to grow on a more international scale over the course of the next 12-18 months.

As part of being a Matter Management Advisor, you will be part of only a 2 person team as it stands, you will be working closely with the Matter Management Expert, who helps support the foundations of the Project Management life cycle, by adding commercial awareness across risks highlighted in an individual practice group.

Duties/Responsibilities of the Legal Matter Management Advisor

· Support kick-off, ongoing, and closing matter conversations using established checklists

· Prepare pre-work by pre-populating checklists, credentials, and pricing documents using available system data

· Lead Matter Management meetings with support from the Matter Management Expert (and PA, if required)

· Connect Matter Manager's with relevant Technology experts to assist with tech tool trials or adoption

· Capture and distribute actions arising from Matter Management stakeholders

· Produce management information such as matter RAG status, analysis of high/low performers, and data on new matters opened/closed

· Report to matter partners and Group Leaders, highlighting trends and KPIs requiring attention

· Manage diaries to ensure regular updates and consistent refreshing of matter information

· Analyse matter pricing data and identify trends or issues at both matter and practice level

Desired experience of the Legal Matter Management Advisor

· Experience working in a Working Capital or Commercial role within the legal sector

· Knowledge using legal finance software e.g Aderant/Elite

· Strong use of MS packages (Excel, Word and Powerpoint)

· Strong Excel skills

· Strong communicator

· Excellent Multitasker

· Can do attitude

· Able to work independently

· Flexible

· Strong team player

· Knowledge using E-billing systems
