We are looking for an experienced warehouse person to manage our busy goods-in warehouse at the home furnishings superstore in Ipswich. You will currently be working in a supervisory or managerial position.

This role is physically demanding and involves building and moving furniture around the show room, handling carpets and underlays, as well as receiving, labelling and processing goods in for our homewares departments. This position also has health and safely responsibilities within the warehouse and general store.

This is a full-time position, working 42.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday from 7.30am to 5.00pm.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have strong organisational and time keeping skills. You will need to prioritise work to ensure goods are ready for collection and with no delays to our delivery and carpet fitting schedules.

  • Pay attention to detail and be meticulous in inspecting and recording details of incoming goods.

  • Be able to work closely with our existing warehouse assistant, who reports to you directly.

  • Be friendly, helpful and flexible, working with the departmental managers and provide assistance as required with moving stock, relocating displays, picking transfers, etc.

  • Have good IT skills to maintain stock records on our in-house computer system and be confident with Microsoft Office.
