Overview

We are seeking a reliable and efficient Courier to join our logistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering goods promptly and safely across designated routes. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for driving and excellent organisational skills to contribute to our fast-paced delivery operations. Candidates must possess a valid driver's licence and have previous experience in delivery or commercial driving. A clean driving record and the ability to handle heavy lifting are essential. The role involves working in various environments, requiring strong communication skills and the ability to manage time effectively.

Duties

  • Safely operate company vehicles, including lorries, to deliver parcels and goods to clients within specified timeframes
  • Plan efficient routes to optimise delivery times and minimise fuel consumption
  • Load and unload items, including heavy packages, ensuring secure placement during transit
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including signatures and delivery confirmations
  • Communicate effectively with clients regarding delivery schedules or issues that may arise
  • Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance needs promptly
  • Follow all health and safety regulations during deliveries and warehouse activities
  • Assist with warehouse organisation when not on delivery routes, including heavy lifting tasks

Experience

  • Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier, preferably with commercial driving experience
  • Valid driver's licence with a clean driving record
  • Experience in warehouse operations or logistics is advantageous
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
  • Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with clients and team members
  • Familiarity with route planning software or GPS devices is desirable
  • Prior experience in a fast-paced environment demonstrating organisational skills and reliability
