You don't have to have an accountancy qualification for this position, but we do need someone with sound finance knowledge. Ideally, you have previous experience using SAP but are at least "qualified by experience", this means someone who can confidently take on finance system processes, controls and reconciliations.

The Role
Reporting into the Finance System Manager, this new role will play a key part in supporting the journey to the implementation of a new ERP systems which will become our digital backbone (DBB). Some key areas are:

  • Provide SME support for larger strategic and operational projects, including DBB and the new Star Pubs ERP (BC).
  • Input into finance data mapping from current to future ERPs.
  • Build up knowledge of the new systems to support testing and Standard Operating Procedure documentation.
  • Support testing for current and new systems.
  • Business partner with finance business groups to resolve finance system and master data issues including managing the SAP release cycle
  • Ensure alignment between SAP / S/4HANA and FI and all relevant reporting systems

Our ways of working
Our office sites operate a hybrid model. You'll spend Tuesdays, Thursdays and one other day in the office and two days from home, although but you're more than welcome to come and work from the office on those days too.

We've redently moved into our fantastic new office at 6 St Andrew Square – right in the heart of the city centre.

The office is in a great location with excellent public transport links so it's really easy to get to whether you're travelling by train, bus or tram

With a brilliant selection of restaurants, bars, shops and our very own Star Pubs on our doorstep, you'll be spoilt for choice for extracurricular activities. And if you fancy catch up after hours with your colleagues, our in-house bar with fantastic views of Edinburgh Castle might just be the spot for you
