We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated individual that shows great initiative to join our Hemel Hempstead branch As a Senior Warehouse Operative you will ensure that the receiving, storing, picking and loading of stock is done both efficiently and effectively.

About the role:

Joining a small but very busy Warehouse team, the role involves:

  • Ensuring accurate picking and loading of vehicles.
  • Ensuring staff are working correctly and following correct procedures.
  • Ensuring Health and Safety regulations and best practice is complied with.
  • Warehouse administration tasks.
  • Operating of forklift (license preferred but not essential)
  • Picking of building materials to fulfil customer's orders.
  • Loading of our delivery vans.
  • Keeping the warehouse stock take ready.
  • Providing high standards of customer/colleague service.
  • Maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
  • Any other duties to help with the smooth operation of the warehouse

About you:

  • Experienced Warehouse Operative.
  • Proactive initiative.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Thorough understanding of health and safety regulations and best practices.
  • Good knowledge of MS office packages (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Forklift licence
  • Supervisory experience in the building plastics trade is preferable, but not essential.

Working hours are Mon- Fri 10am - 7pm.
