Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nursery Practitioner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education and a strong commitment to fostering the growth and development of young children. This role involves creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children. The Nursery Practitioner will work closely with children to support their learning and development while ensuring their well-being.

Duties

  • Provide attentive care to children in a nursery setting, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times.
  • Develop and implement age-appropriate educational activities that promote childhood development.
  • Support children with special needs or disabilities, utilizing appropriate behavior management techniques.
  • Foster positive relationships with children through engaging play, teaching, and nurturing interactions.
  • Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's progress and any concerns.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create a cohesive educational experience for all students.
  • Document children's developmental milestones and maintain accurate records of their progress.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills in early childhood education.

Experience

  • Proven experience working with children in various capacities such as daycare, preschool, or as a nanny/babysitter.
  • Strong understanding of childhood development principles and practices.
  • Familiarity with classroom management techniques and caregiving best practices.
  • Experience in providing care for infants, toddlers, or preschool-aged children is highly desirable.
  • First aid certification is preferred; training may be provided for the right candidate.
  • Background in special education or working with individuals with disabilities is a plus.
