Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Senior Care Assistant to join our team in providing high-quality care to residents in one of our clients care home. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a solid understanding of senior care practices, and the ability to lead and supervise a team effectively. As a Senior Care Assistant, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing care plans tailored to the individual needs of our residents, ensuring their comfort, dignity, and well-being.

NVQ3 in Health & Social Care.

Duties

  • Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility support.
  • Develop and implement personalised care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals and family members.
  • Supervise junior staff members, providing guidance and support to ensure high standards of care are maintained.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, their families, and other team members to foster a supportive environment.
  • Drive to various locations as required for resident appointments or activities.
  • Maintain accurate records of resident care and report any changes in health or behaviour to the appropriate personnel.
  • Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in senior care.

Experience

  • Previous experience in senior care or a similar role is essential.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to supervise and motivate a team effectively.
  • Familiarity with developing care plans tailored to individual resident needs is highly desirable.
  • Proficient IT skills for maintaining records and communicating effectively within the team.
  • A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting residents as needed.
